Took a bedtime shawarma snack (Sitio Catacutan's hawkers' alley now has a shawarma stand) in the kitchen. Actually I bought shawarma earlier today but neither one of my granddaughters wanted to try them. Took it with a coolling, cole slaw left over from a previous KFC order and soda. Lots of singing ongoing at M.'s cafe even at this hour and considering that tomorrow is a work day, Monday.
Feeling cozy for no reason in particular, but maybe it's because I finished a major section of my painting today and I browsed through a book of Old Masters while waiting for the glazes to dry. Will resume painting another section tomorrow. There is nothing on TV. Wondering if there will be elfin festivities in the dragon tree toward dawn.
I know that I shall complete the painting I am working on before the year is over. That will be Painting #4 for Maryhill School of Theology, and I'll still have 36 more to go. Might have to extend my Painting Year (March 31, 2018 - March 31, 2019) by another year (March 31, 2019 - March 31, 2020), I think, and I hope I will be alive to see the whole project through.
This evening P. Messaged me and said that he was standing outside my house, but I replied that I wouldn't let him in because I do not receive spontaneous visitors, especially at night when my granddaughters are home. He re-Messaged that he urgently needed me to cast two spells for him. I reminded him that this is my Painting Year. I just sent him Links to three of my blogs and instructed him to read them.
Before I retired I never said no to people who needed my assistance, but I put a stop to that in 2015. Retirement is all about me. And my family. I now know what true and complete happiness is. It is freedom from other people.
