When John gave me the three dignum wands he confessed that he didn't know why he bought them and why he should be giving me all three. The wands are the same length but not identical. I knew, though, that he was subconsciously giving me the wands to represent the brothers Pedro, Diego, and Juan in Ibong Adarna, and that the name Juan, of course, is a variant of his name, John.
