I used to wonder why, in Newsfeed, I would frequently come across Comments filled with praises, gushing compliments, and superlatives by others of someone's evidently mediocre work. I eventually concluded that:

--the authors of those Comments produce mediocre works themselves or even more mediocre works than what they are Commenting on

OR

--they are begrudging pesons who cunningly encourage the persons they are Commenting on to keep producing mediocre works.
