Many unenlightened people gripe that, in certain restaurants, they can't order a burger without fries or fries without a burger, or a food item plus or minus certain garnishing. They have no idea that those restaurants upgraded to electronic cash registers that have preprogrammed menu items and their concomitant prices.

I was a resident artist in a seaside resort four years ago and discovered that the restaurant cashier had to program "Sir Tony's Pepsi" and other "Sir Tony's" this and that into their ECR just so my sponsor could be charged prices lower than what they charged their clients.
